Patna: Amid strong reaction over Bihar minister Mohammad Israil Mansoori entering into the sanctum-sanctorum of Vishnupad temple on Monday along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the BJP alleged that Nitish Kumar enjoy humiliating the Hindus.

BJP Bihar unit President and MP Sanjay Jayaswal told newspersons here on Tuesday that only to humiliate Hindu sentiments Nitish Kumar took his Muslim cabinet colleague Mohammad Ansari inside the Vishnupad temple in Gaya despite being aware of the fact that entry of any non-Hindu inside the temple was prohibited.

Jaiswal questioned Nitish Kumar whether he would visit Mecca to exhibit his secularism or would like to humiliate Hindus only?

The BJP leaders said that every religion follows some rules adding that entry of non-Muslim is prohibited in Mecca similarly non Hindu cannot enter into Vishnupad Temple.

He said that this tradition has been mentioned at the gate of the temple and added that Nitish Kumar had visited this Temple on several occasions but this time he deliberately took Mohammed Mansuri along with him only to humiliate Hindu sentiments.

He said the BJP would also raise this issue in the state assembly as well as in the state legislative council.

He further said that Nitish Kumar never takes oath in the name of God instead he does it in the name of Satya and Nishtha (truth and commitment).

The BJP MP said that it is the duty of everyone to maintain the sanctity and sentiments of temples as well as mosques and other religious places. (UNI)
