Sadhu who self immolated to protest against illegal mining succumbs (Video)

Bharatpur:Vijay Das, a seer who allegedly attempted self-immolation against 'illegal mining' in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district, died late Friday night at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi.
According to reports, the monk succumbed to injuries on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The body of the seer is being taken to Barsana in Uttar Pradesh where his last rites will be performed.(Symbolic picture)

Seers have been staging protest in Pasopa in the district against mining activities in Deeg area, during which the seer had 'attempted self-immolation' on Wednesday. He was rushed to RBM Hospital in the district after he suffered severe burn injuries.After his condition started deteriorating, he was taken to SMS Hospital in Jaipur, but due to his critical condition he was sifted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
