Hubballi: In a chilling incident, Vastu expert Chandrashekhar Guruji was stabbed to death in broad daylight at a hotel on Tuesday.

The incident took place at a hotel situated adjacent to the Hubballi-Dharwad road.

Chandrashekhar Guruji, also known as Chandrashekhar Angdi, was stabbed to death at the reception of the hotel by two men who managed to flee the scene after committing the crime, police said.

Both accused have reportedly been identified as Mahantesh Shiroor and Manjunath Marewad.

A CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms. In the video, Chandrashekhar Guruji can be seen entering the lobby and walking towards two men. Then Chandrashekhar Guruji takes a seat on the couch while one of them bends down to touch his feet to seek the Vastu expert’s blessings. A few second later, the other man takes out a weapon and stabs Chandrashekhar multiple times.

Guruji was a native of Bagalakote in Karnataka and completed a degree in civil engineering.

Famous for Sarala Vastu programmes on Kannada entertainment and news channels, Guruji used to provide consultation services on traditional Indian system of architecture and office construction.

Police believe that the Guruji had come to the hotel for a business proposal and a family function.

His body has been shifted to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi, police said.

After the murder, CP Labhu Ram, DCPs Sahil Bagla, Gopal Byakod, and other police officials visited the crime scene. A dog squad was also reportedly present. (UNI)
