Students handover 40,000 Diwali greeting cards to soldiers

Bengaluru: Students of various colleges belonging to New Horizon Group of Educational Institutes handed over 40,000 Diwali greeting cards made by them for the soldiers to Major General K S Nijjar, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area today. The students along with Chairman of the Group Mohan Manghnani handed over the colourful greeting cards having inspiring messages to soldiers.
 

They also distributed sweets to armymen. A display of greeting cards was also arranged, according to a statement here. Maj. General Nijjar said, the greeting cards was a wonderful gesture from students and receiving these cards would be the happiest moment for soldiers, deployed in difficult areas. The cards will soon be sent to Army units in Jammu and Kashmir and North Eastern states, he added. (UNI)
