New Delhi: Targeting the Finance Ministry once again, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy today said immediate course correction was needed to overcome the cash crunch faced by the common man following demonetisation.

Demonetisation itself is not a bad move, and it had really dealt a death blow to terrorists’ plans, but the way it had been implemented had led to a situation where some scrupulous elements were taking advantage of the situation, Dr Swamy told UNI.Dr Swamy’s party is under attack for the withdrawal of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8 as part of his fight against black money.

However, the Government had not been able to replace adequate cash in the banks leading to people across the country spending hours in serpentine queues to withdraw money in limited amounts."I have already said the Finance Ministry should have handled it in a better way, and I hope that corrective measures would follow soon,' Dr Swamy said.
