Mogadishu: At least 12 people, including the chief of the intelligence agency in Dhusamareeb, were killed while several others wounded in a bomb blast in central Somalia on Sunday, police said.
A vehicle carrying security personnel was attacked outside Dhusamareb town in Central Somalia.Abdirashid Abdunur, the head of the intelligence agency in Dhusamareeb, was among the dead, according to the police.
The al-Qaeda-linked armed group, al-Shabab has claimed responsibility of the attack.The area has been cordoned off and further probe is on.
The attack comes a week after Al-Shabaab militants entered a hotel in the national capital Mogadishu and killed five people.The country's political leaders are in Dhusamareeb town to discuss about the election scheduled for Monday.(UNI)
