Uncle kills niece for drinking water from his jar

Chhapra: An uncle killed his niece for drinking water from his jar at Mohammedpur village under Garkha police station area in Saran district late last night.

Police said here today that the child Moni Kumari was beaten to death by her uncle when he found her drinking water from his jar leading to her death. The 'killer' uncle made good his escape after committing the crime.

Police said, the deceased's grand-father Ram Snehi Singh lodged an FIR at the police station concerned in this connection. The body has been sent for autopsy, sources added.

Meanwhile, girl's grand-father said that Moni's father had been put in jail on charge of killing his brother. (UNI)
