Uttar Pradesh: Husband finds wife, her lover in compromising position, batters them to death with brick in Auraiya, surrenders

Auraiya (UP): A man battered his wife and her lover with a brick after finding them in compromising situation in Sahayal area of Auraiya district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Thursday.

Police sources said that Shobharam Dohre (32), a resident of Nandpur hamlet under village panchayat Badshahpur Chhownk, worked as a mason. "His wife Ragini (28) was having an affair with Sinku Yadav (20), a resident of the same village, for the last few years and the villagers have informed Shobharam about it," they said.

Police sources said that late on Wednesday night Shobharam caught his wife in a compromising situation with her lover. "In a fit of anger, Shobharam picked a brick lying nearby and hit them on their heads first, due to which both of them fainted," they said.

Police sources said that after this Shobharam tied them and battered their faces. "He continued to hit Ragini and Sinku till they died. After committing the crime Shobharam called Dial 112 around 3 am and informed the police about the incident," they said.

Police sources said that after getting the information Superintendent of police (SP) Charu Nigam along with Circle Officer (CO) Sadar and forces from different police stations reached the village and Shobharam was taken into custody.

The SP said that a written complaint was being given by the family members of deceased Sinku on the basis of which a named FIR would be lodged and further legal action will be taken. (UNI)
