Vishakapatnam: India were 317/4 at stumps on day one of the second Test at the ACA-VDCA stadium here this evening. Third wicket partnership between Kohli and Pujara added 226 runs,putting India into a stronger position at stumps on day one.
Earlier, Indian openers Vijay and Rahul started on a shaky note with both openers falling cheaply on score of 20 and 0.Pujara and Kohli pulled out their team after a shaky start by the openers when the hosts were 22/2, as both added 226 in 61.4 overs.
Pujara reached his 10th Test century and Kohli slammed 14th to his credit.This is the fourth ocassion that Skipper Kohli has scored more than 150 runs in his career.Kohli at the stumps was batting at 151 hitting 15 boundaries while Pujara scored 119 hitting 12 boundaries. (UNI)
