Srinagar: Asserting that the delegation came to Kashmir to understand and share the pain of the people of the Valley, senior BJP leader and former union minister Yashwant Sinha today said they would take care of what has happened in the past. He also hoped to look forward. "We said it yesterday as well that this group came here for humanity, to understand the pain of the people here and to associate ourselves with that. In this regard, we are trying to meet all the stakeholders here," Mr Sinha, who led five-member delegation, said after interacting with the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here.

He said the KCCI was an important stakeholder in the Valley and the delegation had good talks with them. "We requested KCCI to meet us because we felt that it was an old organisation and an important stakeholder. We are glad that they met us, shared their viewpoint with us and we placed ours. We had good talks and it happened in a good atmosphere," the former union minister said.

Hoping that peace will be restored in the Valley as soon as possible, Mr Sinha said he is in a position to say that by the response they are getting, they feel that they can share their pain. The delegation met chairmen of both the factions of Hurriyat Conference (HC), besides some others separatists. It arrived here on a three-day visit yesterday. (UNI)
