Bhubaneswar: The meteorological department here predicted heavy rain fall at one or two places over several districts of Odisha during the next three days due to a low pressure area formed over Northwest adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal.
IMD sources said under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Northeast and adjoining east central Bay of Bengal, a Low Pressure area has been formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal. It is likely to become more marked next 24 hours.
Under its impact heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanja, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara tomorrow. The weather office sounded a yellow warning for these districts.
It also issued an orange warning for Keonjhar, Mayurbhanja and Sundergarh and yellow warning for the districts of Deogarh, Anugul, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Dhenkanal for September 30 next.
The weather office predicted that heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Jharsuguda and Baragarh on October 1 and issued a yellow warning for these districts. (UNI)
