Two Lashker militants killed

Srinagar, Oct 14 (UNI) Two militants of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT), including a self styled commander, were killed on Saturday in a fierce encounter in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said.
 
They said security forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint search operation in village Litter in Pulwama district in the wee hours Saturday.

However, when the area was being sealed, militants opened indiscriminate firing with automatic weapons, they said adding the fire was retaliated ensuing a fierce encounter.
 
Sources said two LeT militants were killed in the encounter which has now concluded.
 
Large cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, including a self styled commnder.
