Book on the life of Guru Nanak Dev ji released

New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a book on the life and ideals of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, the founder of Sikhism and first of its 10 gurus.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Modi posted, ''Released a book on the life and ideals of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The book has been penned by Kirpal Singh Ji, who is based in Chandigarh.''Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was also present during the event.

The birth of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak, who laid the foundation of Sikhism is celebrated as Gurpurab. The life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev inspires everyone to follow the path of peace, compassion and service. He was committed towards eradicating injustice and inequality from society. He also believed in the power of education.(UNI)
