Dubai:After Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan gave India a fluent start in 163-run chase, India defeated Pakistan by eight wickets at the Asia cup here on Wednesday.
Apart from batsmen, bowlers also did well. Bhuvneshwar gave India the upper hand early in the game by dismissing both Pakistan openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq. Shoaib Malik and Babar Azam, the two new batsmen, steadied the Pakistani innings by taking singles and doubles, with occasional boundaries.
Pakistan gave a 162 runs target in 43.1 overs and India easily managed to chased the target in 29th over with two wickets down. This is India's second consecutive win. Now both the team will meet in the super-4 next Sunday.(UNI)
