BCCI Prez Sourav Ganguly to talk with NCA chief Rahul Dravid over Bumrah's fitness row

Kolkata:Indian cricket board chief Sourav Ganguly on Friday said that he will find out what exactly happened with pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah when the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore refused to conduct his fitness test.

"I will find out what exactly is the reason. NCA has to be first and final point of every international cricketer," Board of Control for Cricket in India president Sourav Ganguly said during a promotionalevent in the city.

Visakhapatnam on December 18 to undergo the mandatory fitness test ahead of a comeback.

Jasprit Bumrah is now recovering from a reported  back injury, which kept him away from international cricket for quite some time.Bumrah last played for India in the West Indies Tests and has missed Test series and limited-overs matches against South Africa and
Bangladesh in home series."It's just been a couple of months since I have taken over. I will
speak to Rahul (Dravid). I met him a few times. We will understand the problem and solve it.
 
"From outside, and who has not seen this very closely, Bumrah has beeninjured for a while. I was not part of system while he was sent. What happened? But if you ask me,NCA is a place for Indian cricketers. Everything has to go through the NCA so we will find out," Ganguly elaborated.
 
The BCCI boss also said that a Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) will be formed in the next few days to announce the new selection panel on a three-year tenure. He said CAC will be appointed only for one meeting to decide the selectors as the appointment of the men's head coach has already been done by the previous panel led by former captain Kapil Dev.
 
"The CAC will be appointed in a couple of days. It will only be for one meeting to appoint the selectors as the head coach has already been picked," Ganguly said.(UNI)
