The much-anticipated wedding of Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal was unexpectedly postponed following a medical emergency involving Smriti’s father, who reportedly suffered a heart attack. Soon after, Palash too was taken to the hospital, adding further uncertainty to the situation.
Amid the delay, Smriti removed her proposal video and other wedding-related posts from her social media accounts, sparking widespread speculation.
Adding to the buzz, a woman publicly shared alleged chat screenshots with Palash. Shortly after Singer Palak Muchhal announced the postponement, screenshots of Palash’s purported conversation began circulating on Reddit.
A woman named Mary D’Costa shared the alleged chats on her Instagram story, where Palash can be seen discussing his long-distance relationship with the cricketer and accompanying her on tours. The messages also appear flirtatious, with Palash complimenting Mary’s looks and inviting her for a swim, a spa visit, and even a 5 a.m. outing to Versova Beach.

Once the chats went viral, social media was divided: while many criticised Palash, others urged restraint and requested people to respect the couple’s privacy during a delicate time for both families.
