Rajkot: The young cricketer Prithvi Shaw showed his masterclass as he hit a century in his debut against West Indies here in Rajkot on Thursday.He achieved the feat in 99 balls with the virtue of 15 boundaries.
Prithvi became the fourth youngest batsman overall to score a century in debut after Mohammad Ashraful (Bangladesh), Hamilton Masakadza (Zimbabwe) and Saleem Malik (Pakistan).
The 18-year-old boy from Mumbai, who became India's 293rd Test player, kept things simple and trusted on his attacking batting skills.Right from the start, Prithvi looked like he belongs to the international arena and played some glorious strokes.
