Tokyo:Indian golfer Diksha Dagar has got a chance to make her debut at the Tokyo Olympics after being granted a lucky late entry to the Summer Games here on Thursday.
The 20-year-old Diksha who had been in the reserves list for a number of golfers will be joining compatriot Aditi Ashok in the women’s golf field.
Diksha got her chance after South African golfer Paula Reto pulled out of Tokyo 2020 on Wednesday. Her first reserve Austria’s Sarah Schober was bumped up to the main draw which the latter declined, thereby opening the doors for Diksha to enter the fray.
Women’s golf competition, starts on August 5.(UNI)
