Colombo: Sri Lanka suffered injury blow as right-arm fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera has been ruled out with a leg injury ahead of the Asia Cup, starting August 27 in the UAE.
Sri Lanka will begin the campaign on August 27 against Afghanistan in Dubai.
Chameera had sustained an injury on his left leg during the team practice. He has been replaced by Nuwan Thushara in the 20-man squad, Sri Lanka Cricket said on Monday.
On Saturday, Chameera was named in Sri Lanka's 18-man squad for the Asia Cup despite not completing a full recovery from an ankle injury.
