IPL 2020: Pravin Dubey replaces injured Amit Mishra at Delhi Capitals

Dubai:Delhi Capitals on Monday named Karnataka leg-spinner Pravin Dubey as a replacement for injured Amit Mishra for the rest of IPL 2020. Dubey is already in the UAE,  with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the capacity of a net bowler.
The 27-year-old spinner, who hails from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh plays domestic cricket for Karnataka. He was picked up by RCB in the February 2016 IPL auctions for his base price of Rs 35 lakh. However, didn't play a single game for the franchise and was released after two seasons.
 
In the 2019 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Dubey took six wickets in eight games as Karnataka won the domestic T20 tournament. He has played 14 domestic T20 matches for his state, and has 16 wickets to his name, with an economy rate of 6.87.
 
Meanwhile, Mishra was ruled out of IPL 2020 after sustaining an injury to the ring finger of his bowling arm during Delhi Capitals' match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah on October 3. The 37-year-old has undergone surgery, and is recovering at the moment.(UNI)
