Christchurch: India ODI skipper Mithali Raj has become the second highest run-getter in ICC Women's Cricket World Cups on Sunday.
The 39-year-old achieved the milestone during India's must-win game against South Africa in the 2022 tournament.
The right-hander scored 68 runs off 84 balls, including eight boundaries, at the Hagley Oval.
Mithali now has 1321 runs from 36 innings, sitting just behind New Zealand's Debbie Hockley (1501 runs from 43 innings).
England's Janette Brittin (1299 runs from 35 innings) and Charlotte Edwards (1231 runs from 28 innings), and New Zealand's Suzie Bates (1179 runs from 26 innings) complete the top five. (UNI)
