New Zealand outclass India by 18 runs to enter final of ICC World Cup

Manchester: New Zealand bowlers (Matt Henry 3/37, Mitchel Santer 2/34, and Trent Boult 2/42  dished out a clinical performance to thrash India by 18 runs in the semi-finals of the World Cup match here at the Old Trafford here on Wednesday.
As the play resumed on Wednesday which was kept as reserve day, New Zealand skipper Kane Willamson 67 and Ross Taylor 74 took the team out of trouble and scored a defendable score.
 
While chasing a target, India suffered a dramatic collapse as they slumped to 24/4 in the 10th over. Rohit Sharma began the procession of top-order dismissals when he edged a fine Henry delivery that curved away to wicket-keeper Tom Latham. 
 
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul all managed just a single apiece as India were reduced to five for three by New Zealand pacemen Trent Boult and Matt Henry in pursuit of a target of 240. 
 
Jimmy Neesham then held a superb one-handed catch at backward point to dismiss Dinesh Karthik (six) off Henry to give another jolt to men in blue team after 10 overs.(UNI)
