Guadalajara : Debutant Indian shooter Shahzar Rizvi bagged Gold medal in the 10m air pistol event at the ISSF World Cup here on Saturday.Rizvi shot a world record score of 242.3 points in the final to beat Christian Reitz of Germany, 239.7 points, to win the top honour.Ace India shooter Jitu Rai won the bronze in the event with a score of 219 points.
Senior World Cup debutant Mehuli Ghosh also won a bronze medal in the women's 10m air rifle event.India had a fruitful opening day as they won three medals - a gold and two bronze.The other Indian shooter Om Prakash Mitharval finished at a creditable fourth position with a score of 198.4 points.(UNI)
