Mumbai: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja are a part of the elite A+ category, as 34 players have been handed central contracts by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan who had missed out on annual player contracts during the 2023-24 season make a return to the list.
The list sees Iyer return to Grade B, while Kishan is a part of Grade C. Both players had been excluded from the central contracts for the 2023-24 season. The Indian contracts run from 01 October 2024 to 30 September 2025, a BCCI statement said.
Iyer returns on the back of a sensational run in the ICC Men's Champions Trophy, which saw him lead his side to a trophy, and also win the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for March for his contributions.
Kishan has been a back-up wicketkeeper-batter in the India setup for quite some time now, and started the recent domestic Indian Premier League with a century to his name.
Wicketkeeper-batters Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, Seamers Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami along with all-rounder Hardik Pandya and batter Shubman Gill are a part of Grade A.
These will be the maiden contracts for: Abhishek Sharma, Harshit Rana, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, all of whom are in the Grade C.
