Rangiora: India opener Smiriti Mandhana on Sunday was forced to retire on the score of 12 after she got hit on the head by Shabnim Ismail's bouncer in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup warm up game against South Africa in Rangiora.
According to ICC, "Mandhana was assessed by the team doctor following the incident and was originally declared fit to continue, only to retire hurt an over and a half later after another consultation."
"Mandhana felt no concussion symptoms according to the medical staff, and left the ground as a precaution." (UNI)
