A cricket match in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district turned tragic when a bowler collapsed and died of a heart attack immediately after delivering his final ball. The shocking incident took place in Bilari block, leaving players and spectators in disbelief.
According to witnesses, the bowler — identified as Ahmar Khan, a left-arm fast bowler from Moradabad — fell to the ground right after delivering the final ball of the match. Players and onlookers rushed to his aid, performing CPR on the pitch in an attempt to revive him. He was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Match Between Moradabad and Sambhal
The match was organized by the UP Veterans Cricket Association between the teams of Moradabad and Sambhal. During the final over, Sambhal needed 14 runs off 4 balls to win. Ahmar Khan bowled brilliantly, conceding only 11 runs in the final over and securing victory for Moradabad. However, moments after the winning delivery, tragedy struck.
Witnesses said that after delivering the last ball, Ahmar appeared to struggle for breath and sat down on the pitch. Within moments, he lay flat on the ground as players rushed to assist him. Despite immediate CPR efforts and medical help, his life could not be saved.

Ahmar Khan was a resident of Ekta Vihar, Moradabad. The news of his sudden death has left his family and community devastated. He is survived by his wife, two children, a brother, and a sister.
