Blinkit is now offering 100 gm of free coriander as a complementary gift with certain vegetable orders. The new feature comes after a user shared his mother’s surprise at being charged for the herb while ordering vegetables on the quick grocery delivery app.
Unlike online grocery shopping, local vendors often include green coriander for free with vegetable purchases.
Sharing an update on Blinkit's new feature of ‘free dhaniya,’ CEO Albinder Dhindsa wrote on X (previously Twitter), "It’s live! Everyone please thank Ankit’s mom. We will polish the feature in the next couple of weeks."
Recently an X user suggested Blinkit to offer free Dhania with certain amount of vegetables underlining the importance of ‘free dhaniya’ for Indian moms.
“Mom got a mini heart attack because she had to pay for dhaniya on Blinkit. @albinder- mom is suggesting that you should bundle it for free with certain amount of veggies," wrote a social media user on X.
Blinkit's quick response received positive reactions from social media users.
