Akshaye Khanna’s dramatic entry scene from Dhurandhar has taken social media by storm, inspiring countless memes, reels, and recreations. Now, the Delhi Police has cleverly joined the trend, using it for a witty yet impactful anti-drug awareness campaign.
On December 10, the Delhi Police shared an edited clip from Dhurandhar on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The video features Akshaye Khanna’s iconic entry shot, accompanied by the caption:
“What you think you look like when high.”
A few seconds later, the edit cuts to a scene from another Akshaye Khanna film, where he is seen lying on the ground and struggling to walk. This comes with the message:
“But here’s where you actually end up.”
The clip concludes with a strong warning:
“Do not lose control of your life as drugs only offer an illusion.”
The caption further reads:
“Drug’s high might feel real, but it’s an illusion. Do not trade your truth for a moment’s delusion.”
The video quickly went viral, with many users praising the creativity and effectiveness of the awareness message.
One user commented,
“Nice job Delhi police. Police doing their best in every means to create awareness. Admin of the page well done.”
Another wrote,
“Bad effects on entire nervous system. Hats off delhi Cops.”
Many others applauded the police for adopting a humorous yet hard-hitting communication style.
Dhurandhar, starring Akshaye Khanna, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt, released on December 5 and has already crossed Rs 150 crore at the box office.
