Disturbing final WhatsApp and Instagram messages allegedly sent by 33-year-old Twisha Sharma before her death have surfaced, revealing the emotional distress and mental pressure she was reportedly facing in the days leading up to the incident.
Twisha, originally from Noida, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on May 12 at her husband Samarth Singh’s residence in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal. Samarth Singh is a lawyer. The couple reportedly met through a dating app in 2024 and got married in December 2025.
According to reports, Twisha had completed her MBA and had worked for several years with a private company in Delhi before marriage.
In a WhatsApp conversation with a friend on May 7, Twisha reportedly expressed feelings of anxiety, emotional suffocation, and frustration about her life after marriage. She wrote that she felt trapped sitting at home and wanted to do something meaningful with her life. She also advised her friend not to rush into marriage emotionally.
“Don’t get married just because everyone is doing it. Think carefully before taking that step,” she allegedly told her friend.
When her concerned friend asked if she was okay, Twisha replied that she missed home and her friends deeply.
In another Instagram chat that has now gone viral, Twisha allegedly wrote, “I am trapped, bro… you don’t get trapped.” She also mentioned that she could not talk much at the moment and would call when the right time came.
The messages have intensified allegations of harassment made by her family following her death.
Twisha’s family staged a protest outside the residence of Mohan Yadav in Bhopal, demanding justice and a fresh postmortem examination at AIIMS Delhi. Family members claimed her body had been kept in the mortuary at AIIMS Bhopal for several days.
Twisha’s brother alleged that the family noticed multiple injury marks on her body when they arrived in Bhopal after receiving news of her death. He accused the in-laws of denying wrongdoing and claimed the police were reluctant to register an FIR.
According to the postmortem report, the cause of death has been stated as hanging. However, the reported injury marks on her body have raised serious questions and intensified suspicion surrounding the case.
Twisha’s family has accused her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh of dowry harassment and murder. Giribala Singh is a retired judge, and the family fears the accused’s influence could affect the investigation.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has now been formed to probe the high-profile case further.
