A disturbing case of molestation has emerged involving a young woman traveling from Navi Mumbai to Indore on a luxury sleeper bus. According to the victim, a fellow passenger behaved inappropriately and harassed her during the journey. When she sought help from the bus driver and cleaner, both were allegedly intoxicated and ignored her pleas.

Helpless and terrified, the woman called her mother in tears. Without wasting a moment, her mother drove nearly 150 km to Sendhwa, intercepted the bus, confronted the driver and helper, and safely brought her daughter back to Indore in her car.

According to Rajendra Nagar police station in-charge Neeraj Birthare, the incident occurred on the night of November 6. The young woman belongs to a family associated with a religious institution in Indore and works for a multinational company in Mumbai. She was traveling on a Hans Travels bus (AR 11D 1919) when the accused, identified as Kishore Singh, boarded en route and began harassing her.

The victim alleges that Kishore Singh repeatedly pulled aside the curtain of her sleeper cabin, disturbing her and behaving inappropriately. Shockingly, when she complained to the driver and conductor, they dismissed the issue instead of helping her.

Crime Branch officials said that the bus driver and cleaner have also been booked for failing to assist the victim despite her multiple complaints. Police have seized CCTV footage from inside the bus as part of the investigation.

Arun Gupta, owner of Hans Travels, confirmed that the police have summoned the bus staff, and the company has launched an internal inquiry. He added that passenger safety is the company’s top priority and assured that strict action will be taken against any staff member found negligent.
