A viral courtroom video has revealed a bizarre case of a woman who married 7 times and filed case under Section 498a and maintenance money from each of her spouses within one year of every marriage.

The 1.26-minute clip was extensively shared on X with a text that claims “A Karnataka woman tied the knot 7 times and later took alimony from 6 husbands after framing them in false cases of Dowry and Domestic Violence. It was her seventh attempt when the Judges of the Karnataka High Court realised that she is playing with the law.”

In the viral video, the judge is seen talking to the lawyer about the woman’s seventh divorce. The judge asks if this is her seventh husband. He also asks if a case has been filed against all of them under Section 498a.

The lawyer responded, “Yes, a case has been filed against all of them under Section 498A. Additionally, she requested maintenance.” The judge then asked how long she had been with each husband. The lawyer replied that she lived with each husband for periods ranging from one year to six months before filing for divorce. She would often seek settlement money.

This video is gaining traction on social media. One user wrote, “Women trader of the dowry system. I think she's now a millionaire. Took 7 times alimony from 6 husband. Nowadays it's a good business of few women.”

Second user commented, “It is a mockery of justice and a betrayal of the trust placed in legal professionals. Strict action must be taken against her to prevent any further manipulation and to uphold the sanctity of the law.”

Third user wrote, “Ye andha kanoon hai. No judge before him even realised that it was just a strategy for the woman to make money. This system literally doesn't care about men in society.”

Another user commented, “Sensing a new biopic, " 7 Divorce Maaf"..”
