AAP MP Swati Maliwal has finally lodged a complaint with Delhi Police, three days after she accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s PA Bibhav Kumar of assault.

Details of Maliwal’s assault surfaced after the police recorded her statement on Thursday following which an FIR was registered against Kejriwal’s close aide Bibhav Kumar.

In her complaint, Maliwal mentioned that she “was slapped, hit on the stomach, and kicked” by Bibhav at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday (May 13) , news agency ANI reported.

The FIR was registered under sections 354, 506, 509, and 323 of the IPC, which deal with crimes like assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty and criminal intimidation, reported ANI.

Maliwal went to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, last night to undergo a medical checkup.

Its noteworthy that Delhi Police received a PCR call at 9:34 AM on Monday (May 13) wherein the caller said that she has been assaulted inside the CM residence.

Breaking her silence after the incident, Maliwal took to the social media platform X (previously Twitter) and wrote:

“Whatever happened to me was very bad. I have given my statement to the police on the incident that happened to me. I hope that appropriate action will be taken.”

“The last few days have been very difficult for me. I thank those who prayed for me,” she said.

Maliwal also claimed that some people tried to assassinate her character, insinuating that she was making these allegations at the behest of another party.

An important election is going on in the country; Swati Maliwal is not important; the issues of the country are important, Maliwal said.

“There is a special request to BJP people not to do politics on this incident,” she added.
