In a tragic incident, a man in Rajasthan died after he got stuck in a rope of hot air balloon and fell after it snapped.
The incident took place during an event to mark the 35th anniversary of the foundation day of the Baran district.
The incident was caught on camera, which shows the man, identified as Vasudev Khatri, a resident of Kota, standing on the ground when he gets tangled up in one of the ropes of the hot air balloon.
Khatri was then pulled up in the air to a height of about 100 feet and fell to the ground when the rope snapped. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Khatri was part of the team that was testing the hot air balloon.
All events that were scheduled for the 3-day foundation day celebrations -- which began Tuesday -- have now been cancelled, Baran District Collector Rohitash Singh Tomar told reporters.
