Ganesh Utsav is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. In Ujjain, however, a very unique pandal has become the center of attraction. Here, Lord Ganesha has been placed in the form of a businessman, adorned with jewellery and surrounded by items used in trade.

The special pandal has been set up at Sarafa in the Patni Bazaar area by the Sarafa Youth Federation. In this setup, Lord Ganesha is shown as a businessman, seated with a note-counting machine, ledger, calculator, laptop, and weighing scale placed around Him.

What makes this pandal truly remarkable is that nearly 100 traders from Patni Bazaar have come together to decorate it with their own jewellery. Currently, jewellery worth 1 crore has been used to adorn Lord Ganesha. After Anant Chaturdashi, all the jewellery will be safely returned to the traders.

Speaking to the media, Federation President Prashant Soni said that the decoration is open for public viewing daily from 6 pm to 12 midnight. After the night's Shayan Aarti, all the jewellery is carefully removed and kept safely for security reasons.

He said the decoration will be further enhanced, and the idol will be adorned with jewellery worth 3 crore between 3rd and 5th September. The collection includes gold necklaces, bangles, chains, earrings, and other ornaments.

Interestingly, this is not the first time the Federation has created such a buzz. Last year, the idol of Lord Ganesha was decorated with currency notes worth 11 lakh, which had also drawn wide attention.

To ensure safety, the pandal has been provided with two policemen and 32 CCTV cameras for round- the-clock security.
