Doctors at a Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, hospital were left stunned after removing more than 50 unusual objects from a young man’s stomach. The patient, 35-year-old Sachin from Bulandshahr, had been suffering from severe stomach pain. To everyone’s shock, doctors discovered and removed 28 steel spoons, 19 toothbrushes, and 2 pens during surgery.

Anger Over Food at De-Addiction Center

Sachin, who struggled with drug addiction, had been admitted to a de-addiction center by his family. However, he was unhappy there. According to doctors, Sachin admitted that he began swallowing spoons and toothbrushes out of anger and frustration. He also complained that the food served at the center was inadequate.

Pain Became Unbearable

Over time, Sachin’s condition worsened. When the pain became unbearable, his family rushed him to the Dev Nandini Hospital. An X-ray revealed dozens of metal-like objects in his stomach.

A Risky Surgery

Dr. Shyam Kumar, who led the surgery, said the operation was challenging but successful. “We removed 28 steel spoons, 19 toothbrushes, and 2 pens from the patient’s stomach. Such cases are usually linked to psychological issues,” he explained.
