Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh's father, Yograj Singh, has yet again sparked controversy with his sexist remarks, and the Punjab State Commission for Women chairperson Raj Gill has taken notice. Yograj Singh made derogatory comments about women in power, citing Indira Gandhi as an example, saying that giving power to women can lead to destruction.

During an interview with YouTuber Samdish Bhatia, Yograj Singh said that the household head is always a man and that is how a house is run.

When asked if a woman can be a household head even if her husband is there, Yograj said, "Indira Gandhi ran this country. She ruined the nation. Sorry to say this."

“You ask any woman to run a household and she will ruin it. Never give power to women. Give them love, respect, and honour,” Yograj said.

“If you give them power, they will destroy everything. I've seen it. If you give women power, they will hold everything for themselves,” he added.

He also claimed that all the babas (spiritual leaders) have more women devotees who ask for wishes like "mere husband ko mere vash me kar do, mere bete ko mere vash me kar do" (Help me control my husband, help me control my son).

These comments have been met with widespread criticism, with many calling out Yograj Singh's sexist and misogynistic views.
