Diwali was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. However, amid the celebrations, some shocking incidents came to light—one of them putting lives in danger. A video from Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh has now gone viral on social media, showing three young men bursting firecrackers on the roof of a moving car.

The reckless act reportedly took place on the Piplia Mandi–Manasa Road around 10 p.m. on Monday night, near the Krishi Upaj Mandi. At the time, other vehicles were also passing on the same stretch, making the stunt extremely risky.

Bursting Crackers on the Car Roof

According to reports, three youths were riding on top of a moving car (registration number MP09 DC 8139). In the video, one man can be seen opening the car door, placing a “sky shot” firecracker on the roof, and lighting it while the vehicle was in motion. Another person was driving, and a third was hanging halfway out of the car window filming the stunt. Meanwhile, others on motorbikes rode alongside the car to record the entire act.

Police Action After Video Went Viral

As soon as the video surfaced online, the police took swift action. Chowki in-charge Dharmesh Yadav said that after identifying the location, a police team was dispatched immediately. CCTV footage was checked to trace the vehicle, which was later found and seized. The car is registered under the name of Praveen Gupta, a resident of Piplia Mandi.

The driver, Dhanna Porwal, was fined Rs 1,500 under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. The families of the other youths involved were summoned to the police station and issued a strict warning.
