Kamal Haasan to seek Rajinikanth's support in upcoming TN polls

Chennai:Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) Founder Kamal Haasan said that he will meet Rajinikanth and seek his support in the ensuing Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Talking to reporters in Pudukottai, he said 'even before he became a big actor Rajinikanth has been my good friend.''We know each other well. I always call him my good friend', he added.
 
On Rajini's decision not to take the political plunge, Kamal said 'if he has taken the decision considering his health condition, I welcome it'. 'I will go, meet him and enquire about his health and seek his support for us (in the elections)',the MNM chief added.
 
Stating that Dravidian policy was not something that belong to certain people, he said, 'It is for everyone'.Asked about forging alliances for the elections, Kamal said 'It is too early to say. We have to wait till January'.
 
Rajini's advisor Tamilaruvi Manian quits politics
 
After Rajinikanth bid adieu to his political plans on helath grounds, his advisor and Gandhi Makkal Iyakkam Founder Tamaluravi Manian on Wednesday announced his decision to quit politics. Mr Manian was instrumental in persuading the actor to foray into politics before the latter dropped the move citing his health condition.

In a statement hre, he said he would not participate in politics till his last breadth.Mr Manian claimed that both the Dravidian parties have discarded the Gandhian values that were once held high by late Congress stalwart and former Chief Minister K Kamaraj.

He said his dream was to create a good governance in Tamilnadu, but he was continuously abused by a few persons in the society. He also said that his family also had to face the abuse
and the cheap criticism of people.''I have nothing to achieve in a world that cannot tell the
difference between a stone and a precious gem,” he added.''When poet Kannadasan quit the DMK, he said he will come back. But I am leaving and will not return,'',
