Superstar Rajinikanth hospitalised in Chennai, to undergo elective procedure

Chennai: Popular film actor and Superstar Rajinikanth was on Monday night admitted to a private hospital for stomach pain.

The actor was shooting for the next film 'Coolie', when he complained of stomach discomfort.

He was rushed to Apollo hospitals, where his condition was said to be stable.

Thalaiva is likely to undergo an elective procedure at the cath lab later in the day, a source said.

In the work front, Rajinikanth's upcoming film ‘Vettaiyan’, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is set to hit theatres on October 10. The movie marks Rajinikanth's 170th film.
