The sacred Dev Uthani Ekadashi, also known as Prabodhini Ekadashi, is observed on the Ekadashi tithi of Kartik Shukla Paksha. On this day, devotees awaken Lord Vishnu from his four-month divine rest and perform Vishnu Puja, followed by the Tulsi Vivah (the symbolic marriage of Goddess Tulsi and Lord Vishnu’s Shaligram form) in the evening during the Pradosh Kaal.

This year, Dev Uthani Ekadashi Vrat will be observed on November 1, 2025 (Saturday). Devotees following the Vaishnava tradition will observe the fast on November 2, 2025 (Sunday).

Let’s take a look at the auspicious timings (shubh muhurat) for Dev Uthani Ekadashi Puja and Tulsi Vivah in 2025.

Dev Uthani Ekadashi Tithi (Date and Time)

Ekadashi Begins: November 1, 2025 – 9:11 AM
Ekadashi Ends: November 2, 2025 – 7:31 AM

Since the Ekadashi Tithi prevails during sunrise on November 1, the main fasting day will be November 1, 2025.

Paran (breaking the fast): November 2, 2025 – after 1:11 PM

November 1, 2025 Shubh Muhurat

Abhijit Muhurat: 11:42 AM – 12:27 PM (Ideal for Vishnu Puja)
Godhuli Muhurat: 5:36 PM – 6:02 PM (Perfect for Tulsi Vivah)
Pradosh Kaal Muhurat: This muhurat begins about 40–45 minutes before sunset and continues for 40–45 minutes after sunset. Sunset will occur at 5:36 PM, making it the ideal time for Tulsi Vivah rituals.

November 2, 2025 Shubh Muhurat (Vaishnava Ekadashi)

Abhijit Muhurat: 11:42 AM – 12:26 PM (Vishnu Puja)
Godhuli Muhurat: 5:35 PM – 6:01 PM (Tulsi Vivah)
Pradosh Kaal: 6:31 PM – 7:41 PM (Tulsi Vivah Muhurat)

Dev Uthani Ekadashi marks the end of Chaturmas, the four-month period when Lord Vishnu is believed to rest. From this day onward, all auspicious events like marriages, housewarming, and religious ceremonies begin again. Performing Tulsi Vivah on this day brings prosperity, marital harmony, and divine blessings from Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
