Vehicles with signs of other faiths, party flags not allowed in Tirumala

Tirumala: The devotees coming to Tirumala for darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy will not be allowed entry if their vehicles have other faith signs, deities, person's photos, political party flags, the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) said.

Though this rule had been under implementation for several decades in Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam, but some devotees unaware of this regulation have been coming to Tirumala with photos of other faiths, favourite political and celebrities, political flags on their vehicles, TTD said in a statement.

The vigilance sleuths, while checking the vehicles at Alipiri, explain the rule and remove the stickers and flags of vehicle owners as it is against TTD norms.

The devotees are appealed to be aware of this important regulation of TTD and co-operate with the management, the statement added. (UNI)
