London: United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Health Matt Hancock has said that the Delta variant of the Corona virus is around 40 percent more transmissible compared to the Alpha variant and 'makes life more challenging'.
Hancock added that if required, the government is "open" to delaying England's scheduled June 21 unlocking. He also advised people to continue following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of Covid-19 even after receiving both the doses of the vaccine.
Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he will urge wealthy nations to commit to vaccinating the world against Covid-19 by the end of next year. (UNI)
