Pakistan Army chief confirms death sentence of 11 terrorists

Islamabad: Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has confirmed death sentences of 11 terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

A statement issued by the ISPR said convicts were involved in attacks on personnel of law-enforcement agencies and killings of innocent citizens, according to The News International report. Pakistan has sent hundreds of terrorists to gallows since it lifted a moratorium on the capital punishment. The moratorium was lifted after a terrorist raid on Peshawar's Army Public School. Over 140 people mostly children were killed in the attack. (UNI)
