A 44-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her intoxicated live-in partner during a dispute over money at their residence in Chhawla, southwest Delhi, police said on Thursday.
The accused, Virendra (35), reportedly strangled the woman using his elbow in a fit of rage. According to officials, he was so heavily drunk that although he attempted to move her body to his car—allegedly planning to dispose of it—he was too intoxicated to drive and ultimately returned home.
A senior police officer said that a PCR call was made on the morning of November 26 by a neighbour, who spotted the woman’s body lying inside the car while the accused was found asleep inside the house. Police reached the spot and initiated further investigation.
