Betul (MP): A unique scene unfolded at the National Lok Adalat, convened on the district court premises, when three couples, who had been living separately for years, listened to the judge's advice and decided to forgive and forget.
Yesterday, the courtroom resounded with applause as the couples garlanded each other and reunited.
The first case involved a local couple. The wife had been living at her parents' place, vexed over her husband's alcoholism. The man promised to quit drinking.
The next case involved a couple from Telpani. The wife frequently visited her parents' home, causing disputes.
The third case involved a youth from Maharashtra's Susnoor village and a young woman from Savner.
After their marriage in 2020, the couple frequently fought over petty issues.
