Mumbai: A Special PMLA court here on Monday remanded Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut into the Enforcement Directorate's custody till August 4 in a money laundering case related to the redevelopment of a Mumbai chawl after the agency found alleged irregularities in its redevelopment.
The ED on Sunday arrested Raut in Mumbai in connection with money laundering cases related to alleged irregularities in the re-development of Patra Chawl.
The opposition, including the Congress, has been accusing the BJP-led government at the Centre of unleashing the ED against its opponent. (Inputs from UNI)
