Plea filed to CJI to withdraw observations made by him against BJP's Nupur Sharma

New Delhi:A letter petition has been filed by Gau Mahasabha leader, Ajay Gautam, before the Chief Justice of India (CJI) seeking to direct the bench headed by Justice Surya Kant to withdraw the oral observations made by him against suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Spokesperson, Nupur Sharma.

The letter petition said the Gau Mahasabha leader, Gautam, had filed the letter petition before the CJI, seeking to declare that the observations made by the concerned bench today led by Justice Surya Kant, who was hearing the petition filed by against Nupur Sharma are uncalled for.

The letter petition, sought appropriate orders or directions to the bench of Justice Surya Kant to withdraw their observation in the matter of Nupur Sharma so that she can get chance of fair trial.

It also sought a direction for Suo Motu transfer all the cases of Nupur Sharma in Delhi only under appropriate section of the Indian Constitution.The letter petition also sought directing trial fast track court keeping in mind threats to Nupur Sharma.(UNI)
