New Delhi: Prime Minister will chair high-level meetings on April 23 to review the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country and has cancelled his tours to the poll bound West Bengal.
Taking to twitter, he said, “Tomorrow, I will be chairing high-level meetings to review the prevailing COVID-19 situation. Due to that, I would not be going to West Bengal.”
According to the officials in the Prime Minister office, PM Modi’s schedule includes an internal review meeting over the Covid-19 situation in the country at 0900 hrs with top level government officials, followed by an interaction with Chief Ministers of “high-burden” states at 1000 hrs and to hold a virtual conference with leading oxygen manufacturers in the country on Friday.
Despite his election campaigning for his party, he has held review meetings and consultations with various stakeholders in view of current Covid 19 pandemic in the country.
Today, the Prime Minister held meeting with Government officials to review the oxygen supply across the country and discussed ways and means to boost its availability. He held a similar meeting on April 16.
On April 19, he held a review meeting and decided to get people above 18 vaccinated from May 1 in the third phase of vaccination drive. On the same day, he also interacted with doctors, the pharma companies to upscale the jab production. (UNI)
