New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday unveiled a portrait of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
“The unveiling was to mark the beginning of a year-long celebrations to commemorate 125th Birth Anniversary Year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose,” a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
The Centre has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas ChandraBose as ‘Parakram Diwas’ on January 23 every year.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born on this day in 1897. (UNI)
