New Delhi: In a bid to clean his image, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Parth Sarthi—who is alleged to have sexually harassed more than two dozen female students—forced his victims to write apology letters after he deleted the chat histories containing sexual messages, sources said.

The Swami is reportedly the owner of the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management in Delhi. However, police stated only that he held a position in the management team.

He allegedly manipulated the attendance records of the victims and deducted their marks. This happened to those who did not submit to his demands or opposed him. The sources told UNI the victims' chats were deleted, and they were forced to apologise.

"He threatened the girls, saying their PGDM degrees would be withheld. Parents of the girls were not allowed to intervene in the matter," a source said.

In March 2025, the Swami bought a BMW and took all the female students for a ride. The girls alleged that he played songs they did not like and made obscene gestures.

Twenty of the students were from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Four of them left the institute; two cited medical reasons, while the others did not provide specific reasons.

There are five FIRs against the Swami, following which a Look Out Circular (LOC) was issued against him.

The most recent case was lodged at the Vasant Kunj North police station on August 4, based on a complaint by P.A. Murali, the administrator of the Sri Sringeri Math, which oversees the institute.

He is currently absconding. He is also reportedly in possession of two passports.
